To see if you have the appropriate folder, click the IChat folder on the left. If a new window pops up show your folders content, you should see a sounds folder. If you don't have a IChat folder you will have to make one.

To make an Ichat folder, open Windows Explorer, click on drive C: then go to the file menu and select File, New and then Folder. Name the new folder IChat. Next step is to create a Sounds folder, Click on  the IChat folder, go to the menu bar and select File, New and then Folder. Name this new folder Sounds.

After you do these steps, you can click on the Ichat and Sounds folder to see if they are properly created.
Now that the folders are created and working properly, you will need to add sounds in the Sounds folder. Here is a sound file you can use to test your sounds folder with in Yahoo Chat.  Download tzone1.wav 125 KB. To save this file, right click on the file and select Save Target As, then save in the C:\IChat\Sounds\ Folder. You can find many sites on the internet that have a large collection of sounds.
